Shower Seal Ltd takes the security and privacy of every customer very seriously. This also applies to visitors to the website who do not complete a purchase.

To demonstrate our compliance with the obligations outlined by the GDPR (General data protection regulation coming into effect March 25th 2018 we have outlined our Privacy statement below.

What information do we collect about you?

If you place an order we will collect your name, billing address, delivery address (if different) your email address and telephone number. We will also note any information you may wish to provide to the delivery company to assist with the attempt of your delivery.

When making a payment your card details are entered into a secure page of our payment gateway provider, Paypal. To be clear about this we NEVER see your card details. We do not retain information about your card details as we never have them in the first instance.


How do we use the information we gather?

If you place an order with us we will use your information to create and fulfil your order. This would include printing postage labels receipts and delivery notes. These postage labels will be on your packaging and the receipt or delivery note inside.

We send orders from our office in Northern Ireland and from an order fulfilment warehouse in West Sussex.

The order data is name address tel number email address and products ordered. As previously mentioned there is no payment card details as these are not required and we never have them in the 1st instance.

Further details of all the companies we use to deliver your order and information about their compliance with GDPR is available on request.

When you place an order we will email you with an order confirmation. We will also email a tracking number when applicable. 7 days after an order has been placed we ask customers if they’d like to leave a review through trustpilot. This is so we can get your feedback and see if everything was ok with the transaction. If you do not wish to receive this email please do not agree to the terms and conditions of the sale when placing an order. If you do not respond to this email we will not remind you about it or contact you about it again.

We do not have an option for a newsletter or contact customers with special offers.

We never share any of your information with 3rd parties other than companies involved in the fulfilment and delivery of your order as they require your name and address to deliver your order. The delivery companies may also use your phone number and/or email address to update you about the progress of your delivery. They will not contact you again after this.

 

How do we store your information?

Your information is held in our Magento website. This is hosted on a dedicated secure sever provided by TSO hosting. We retain your information to help you order again in the future. We are also obliged to keep sales records for the potential inspection of Tax and Vat inspection from HMRC

Order information is held on a second secure dedicated server used for the transmission of orders to our order fulfilment warehouse. This information is deleted every month.

Some of your information may also be held on emails between our staff. We securely archive emails more than 3 months old so we can refer back to them at a later stage should you need to revisit a conversation you have had with us in the past. We hold the archives securely for 3 years before deleting. If you would like us to delete the information on any email archives before then please let us know and we carryout your request.

All devices used to access your information are kept in alarmed offices. All devices must be accessed by passwords which are changed regularly.

 

Security

Any information you enter on our site is encrypted with 128bit SSL technology. You will see our site should show the padlock symbol and HTTPS at the start of the website address.

This is the highest security measure available to us to safeguard your information but we cannot guarantee the security of your information so this is provided at your own risk. Please do not use our site to provide any irrelevant information other than the information required to fulfil your order. As mentioned previously your card details when making payment are entered into the secure server pages of Paypal and you should never provide these card details anywhere else on our site or by email.
